Replacing the inaccurate 2x4 arms with 2x2 aluminum tubing ,that was cut to the 1000 of an inch at a machine shop is a more light weight and extremely accurate alternative. finding a square chunk of steel for the top of the base, helped prevent the Eye hooks from rotating when the arms were pressed down. Also Moving the location of the springs from the side of the arm to the brace of the screen increased the tension, preventing the screens from flopping down when rotated.
Four Sets of wheels guide the arm into place, giving it an accuracy withing 1/100th of an inch.. Last but not least, I added a coat of black paint, to make it look classy as fuck. Over all cost was around 70 bucks, Sure does beat the price of around a grand for something mass produced.
Very useful information, thanks for your generosity. More power to you!
