Test Print

Far from being a finished product, I still need to adjust my layout and make a few minor tweaks. But for being my first screen print on paper, I think they came out well.

The Photo quality is poor to say the lest, due to my lack of proper lighting and equipment. I ensure you that the print is a lot more crisp than what is portrayed in the following picture

From here on Out

So I have decided to Incorporate my art into this non physical space that holds the existence of many peoples lives (including my own). Along with Images of what I am creating, I will explain the process and the meaning each piece possesses.

The piece that I am going to start with is of a dear with 3 arrows buried in its back jumping over a crocodile. This first started off as a rough pencil sketch. Once I cleaned up the lines, I finished it off with a fine point marker. I love the concept behind this piece, but when i look at it all i see are the flaws in my lines. The dear with three arrows in the back represents trust. Each for what i believe is the number of times something should be attempted before you move on (in regards to trust that is) . The dear is jumping because obviously, you would want to escape from what brings harm. I drew this at a time in my life where this stands true. The deer alone shows suffering, but was not enough to portray the certain event. I need something else to establish that there was no going back, so i added the crocodile. Odd I know.( it was an easy pick because the croc is a fierce killing machine) At the time it was to represent a sure death but as time goes on I see it as a struggle for survival.

I am currently working on A photo-emulsion screen print of this concept. (meaning shirts and posters are in the works) More images are soon to come
